Buddhist Monuments of India
Let’s begin with the Buddhist monuments of India. Two of the most famous monuments that need to be mentioned at the very outset are the Sanchi Stupa
and the Amravati Stupa. The first one is located in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh while the second is situated in Andhra Pradesh,
a state in south India. The two hold the distinction of being the largest (Amravati) and the second largest (Sanchi) stupa in the country.

One of the most important Buddhist monument of Indonesia, Borobudur, also holds the distinction of being the largest Buddhist monument found anywhere on this earth.

Buddhist Monument of Myanmar
The pagodas are the prime attraction for anyone interested in exploring Buddhism in Myanmar. These pagodas are not only beautiful, but they reveal a lot about the progress of

Some of the most important ones are the Shwedagon Pagoda, Kaba Aye Pagoda and the Botahtaung Pagoda. The first of these, it is believed,
preserves the hair strands of the historical Buddha together with relics of three other Buddhas of this world.
The Kaba Aye Pagoda marks the 6th world Sixth Buddhist Council of 1954-56. The Botahtaung Pagoda, too, preserves the relics of the Buddha which,
it is believed was guarded on its way from India to Myanmar by thousand military leaders.

Pha That Luang is the one of the most important Monuments of Laos. It preserves the relic of the Buddha,
